Executive Bios
Alan Stein
Founder and President
In 1985, Alan Stein founded the company that is now
Tanglewood Conservatories, Ltd. and has been closely
involved with the architecture and construction industry
for more than 30 years. Beginning his career in residential
construction, Alan later formed his own residential remodeling
company. He also worked with a residential/commercial
architectural firm in Maryland before founding Tanglewood
Conservatories. He studied design at the California College
of Arts and Crafts and in 1983 graduated from the University
of Maryland with a professional degree in architecture.
He has been active in the local chapters of National
Association of Home Builders and the National Association
of the Remodeling Industry.
Nancy Virts
Chief Operating Officer
Nancy Virts has extensive management experience both
at the corporate level and in small business. Prior to
joining Tanglewood Conservatories in 1994, her career
included over 10 years with Marriott Corporation in various
management positions. Nancy is also an accomplished fiber
artist whose work has been publicly shown. |
